It is part of SEPA’s remit to maintain a high-quality environment by setting permit conditions which limit the impacts associated with installations operating under Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Part A regulations.
Application details
We received an application from FCC Waste Services (UK) Limited to vary their existing PPC permit (PPC/W/0020041) at Greengairs Landfill, Meikle Drumgray Road, Greengairs, Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, ML6 7TD to install a new reverse osmosis treatment process that will be used to remove the potentially polluting contaminants from surface water run-off produced as a result of IBA activities at Greengairs Landfill Site.

What happens next
SEPA will consider any comments received during the consultation period between 23 December 2022 and 20 January 2023 before issuing the final decision. If no comments are received, SEPA will issue the final decision no later than 27 January 2023 and issued documents will be published here.
