River Basin Management Planning in the Solway Tweed
Overview
This Significant Water Management Issues report (SWMI) summarises the issues that SEPA and the Environment Agency consider to be significantly impacting on our shared water environment in the Solway Tweed river basin district. It is an important step in the review and update of river basin management plans, which happens every six years. SEPA and the Environment Agency have a duty to act jointly and coordinate the protection and improvement of the water environment in the Solway Tweed through river basin management planning.
There is a consultation on Safeguarding Scotland’s Water Environment and Significant Water Management Issues in England which provide more detailed information and opportunity for comments.
