SEPA Consultation on 2018 Reservoir Charging Scheme

Overview

This consultation seeks your views on charges in 2018/19 and beyond for the work undertaken by SEPA for the Reservoirs (Scotland) Act 2011 and the Reservoirs (Scotland) Regulations 2016 and how we intend to review these charges in 2018.

Why your views matter

SEPA consulted in 2015 on the charging scheme (link) for 2015/16 through to 2017/18. The 2015 consultation said that charges would be reviewed in this period. We have reviewed the charges and currently the charges cover our costs. This consultation outlined the proposals for 2018/19 and beyond.

The review of the charging scheme took place based on data collected over 2017/18. The review concluded that the current charging scheme was sufficient to cover SEPA's costs (link).
