We received an application from Arbikie Distillery Green Hydrogen Limited for a PPC permit PPC/A/5011109 at Arbikie Distillery Green Hydrogen, Arbikie Highland Estate Distillery, Montrose, Angus, DD10 9TR to cover the small-scale production of hydrogen from electrolysis of water using renewable energy under the Arbikie Distillery Green Hydrogen Project. The hydrogen produced will be used as fuel in the distillery boilers replacing about 50% of the gas oil currently used and is expected to generate ½ the thermal energy demand required for the distillation process.
