The Leven Programme consultations
Overview
We are consulting on two major projects that are taking place in Levenmouth that we would like your views on.
- Levenmouth Connectivity Project - We're working with Green Action Trust, Fife Council and Sustrans to connect the communities of Levenmouth by creating a walking, cycling and wheeling network that is safe and accessible for all. This will link to the new railway stations at Leven and Cameron Bridge.
- Restoring the River Leven Project - Our aim is to improve a 2½ mile stretch of the River Leven flowing from Windygates to Leven. Our vision is to restore the river for the benefit of local people and wildlife. Including making it easier for fish to move up and downstream of the Burn Mill and Kirkland Dams to breed and thrive.
Links to each survey can be accessed at the bottom of the page.
The Leven Programme
The Leven Programme is a series of connected projects taking place along the River Leven in Fife, that have the environment and people at its heart.
It involves many key government agencies, non-government organisations, private sector businesses and local communities working closely together to help deliver environmental improvements in and around the river, while also aiming to maximise the social and economic opportunities that these improvements can bring.
Our vision is that by 2030, our partnership will have contributed to, and delivered, a number of projects that will have helped to breathe life back into the River Leven, improving the areas surrounding it and making them great places to live, work and visit.
We are also working closely with a number of other projects currently happening in the Levenmouth area; including the Levenmouth rail link, Levenmouth Reconnected Programme and SGN’s H100 project.
Why your views matter
Public collaboration and consultation is at the heart of our approach to the regeneration of the River Leven and its surrounding communities.
When one of our projects reaches a key stage, we look for community feedback and input on our proposals.
